Doc’s Streetside Grille Honored by Food and Beverage Magazine

Doc’s Streetside Grille, an Orlando, Florida landmark for years, has just received the Food and Beverage Magazine’s seal of approval, along with a stellar review of the restaurant and its award winning food!

Food & Beverage Magazine reported “Doc’s is more than just a place to watch the football games. Our staff was given the recommendation to head to Orlando, FL to experience Doc’s Streetside Grille. A favorite of sports fans because of the great atmosphere and plenty of television coverage, inside and out. What they didn’t tell us about was the huge windows on all sides giving Doc’s a very fresh, open and roomy atmosphere. The dining room flooded with the sound of welcoming music, the kitchen is open and keeps the room interactive with patrons.”

Reviewer Edward Politz went on to state “Our must pick menu items are the huge fish tacos, innovative salmon dishes and the soon to be world famous Smoked Gouda Cheeseburger. On the side, the Zesty Beer Chili Cheese Fries, but don’t replace the sweet potato fries! The Food and Beverage Magazine staff was absolutely delighted by Orlando’s Doc’s Streetside Grille.”

The owner of Doc’s Streetside Grille Blaise Mercadante stated “our customers love us, we pride ourselves on endless menu items, over sized portions and great chef prepared food,” he continued “but this recognition lets the hundreds of thousands of tourists looking for a real Orlando Landmark Restaurant experience –  that Orlando has Doc’s Streetside Grille waiting and ready for them.”

Doc’s is located in the heart of Orlando, just south of downtown on Orlando’s main street, Orange Ave.  Blaise added “For visitors, the red carpet is really rolled out, and the chef makes food that keeps Orlando looking good.”

Ronnie Doolittle, Doc’s head Chef commented, “I developed a Black & Blue or Pittsburgh style steak at Rosie O’Grady’s,  that we have just introduced here at Doc’s.” Doolittle continued, “I hope to add even more from my family’s 60 years in the chef business over the next few months here at Doc’s Streetside Grille.”

Jan Mercadante, catering manager added, “We are set up to make events as customized to any group as they want it to be from 2 to 200, we have it covered!”

Tom Reich of Marketing remarked “We hold Rotary meetings in one of the smaller private rooms, and moved to the larger hall when we had a US Congressman (Daniel Webster) visit us last month, he loved the food!”
