LISBON – Immersa Global (Miami) and Ben Austin Projects (London) today announced the launch of highly curated art-based travel programs in Portugal.
Sheree M. Mitchell, President and Founder of the boutique tour operator Immersa Global, has designed tailor-made travel programs for Americans in destinations in Central America, Europe, Israel and the U.S. since 2002. The experiences range from customized language and cultural immersion programs for the lifelong learner to very exclusive food and wine adventures with local experts for the global gastronome.
For over 25 years Ben Austin has been an early champion of Urban art, with the first curated gallery show for Banksy and Antony Micallef – ‘Perverse Pop’ – Catto Contemporary, Shoreditch Feb 2002. Most recently, he’s focused on British artists – ‘Art Britannia’ – Design District, Miami, Basel 2013. Ben is a published writer and contributes to publications such as Artlyst and FAD. He also works as an art consultant and advisor on various projects and gives tours to VIPs and private collectors around the major art fairs around the world.
This May, Immersa Global and Ben Austin Projects will launch their first joint project: 5-Day Art, Food, and Wine Program in Portugal that also coincides with Arco Lisboa Contemporary Art Fair. The experience includes exclusive visits to Portuguese art galleries, a private cocktail dînatoire with international artists and collectors, unique food and wine experiences with local experts, and much more. The program will take place May 15th–19th in Lisbon and is open to 20 adult guests.
“I’m thrilled to team up with such a creative and accomplished professional from the art world. Ben not only understands the UK market, but has also spent an extensive amount of time in the US and Israel. I’m certain that our program this May will be just the beginning of a fun and fruitful partnership,” said Sheree M. Mitchell.
The programs, such as the 5-Day Art, Food, Wine in Portugal are exclusively developed and operated by Immersa Global and Ben Austin Projects with some support from local suppliers.
