Los Angeles based Step1 TV, is pleased to announce that it has joined forces with Houston based Texavision to expand its coverage to 14 additional channels across the country; some of the existing markets are Houston TX, Beaumont TX, Atlanta GA, West Palm Beach FL all of which will began airing, however the plan is to launch additional stations that will cover more than a third of the United States.
Step1 TV currently broadcasts on Los Angeles KTAV 35.10, through their mobile app, live streaming on their website, Comcast VOD, Roku and smart TVs. Texavision operates a total of 32 Over the Air, satellite and some cable channels across the US. Step1 TV’s partnership with Texavision promises to provide greater access to their multicultural audience.
Step1 TV COO Cassandra Cooper will become the COO of Texavision, to manage and rebrand all the channels for a broader appeal. Cooper states OTA and premium channels can be competitive with pay channels, the channels content is aimed at a diverse group of viewers, skewing all age groups. “I plan to take our group of networks everywhere a viewer may watch their content. Over the Air is the base, but we will really expand our platform’s footprint with OTT and mobile apps also,” Cooper added.
According to Walter Rosenthal CEO/Founder of Texavision, “I am excited to see how Ms. Cooper will grow the brands and introduce an old model of antenna TV to a new audience. There is a great opportunity to be had here as more Americans are cutting the cord and looking for quality entertainment for low, to no costs.”
Both Step1 TV and Texavision plan to expand beyond their 32 channels nationally, within the next 12 months. Additionally there are securing channels in Africa, Belize. Canada & the UK. With larger national footprint and engaging content, they are poised to become an international multucultural media company.
