Las Vegas, Nevada – April 18, 2019 – The retrofit SmartTOP convertible top module for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class (A207) made by Mods4cars, makes it possible to operate the convertible top while driving at a speed of up to 50 km/h. For this, thanks to One-Touch function, a short tap on the interior button is sufficient. In addition, the top can be opened and closed from a distance via the existing vehicles key.

It is now possible to reverse the operating direction of the interior top button. The ECO Disable function allows for the automatic deactivation of the ECO mode when the engine is started, which otherwise would usually reactivate each time the vehicle starts up. It can also be programmed whether all windows should remain down, all windows should be up or only the front windows should be raised, after the automatic opening of the convertible top.
The Comfort Wipers function ensures that the wipers automatically wipe again after a 10-second break, after the spray nozzles have been used. Valet mode prevents the use of the convertible top via the interior button and the remote control. This allows the convertible top to be locked completely when a third party is using the vehicle.
The Park Assist function lowers the rear view mirror when the reverse gear is engaged, so curbs or obstacles can be easily detected. The side mirrors can be automatically folded in via the remote control or when the vehicle is locked.
Existing customers will also enjoy these new features. A USB port attached to the SmartTOP module enables the module to be connected to the a PC/MAC to install software updates. The manufacturer Mods4cars provides these updates to its customers free of charge via the Internet.
