The Orange Unified School District recently proclaimed May 19-25, 2019 as Classified School Employee Week. This commemoration is to honor classified employees as partners in education along with other staff, administrators, and teachers. Classified school employees play an integral part in the culture of each school and provide extra support for teachers and students in various roles across every Orange Unified campus.
The Orange Unified School Board noted that classified employees are challenged with unique responsibilities such as:
Safely transporting students to and from school
Providing nutritious meals to students
Keeping buildings clean, safe, and comfortable
Meeting parent, student, and principal needs in school offices
Assisting teachers in instructing students
Providing administrative services
The special people who are the classified staff of OUSD have met all these responsibilities with dedication and are highly respected by the Orange community. Without their service, no school day would run smoothly. Orange Unified School District certificated employees, administrators, parents, and community members thank the over 1,300 classified staff dedicated to making OUSD campuses learning environments of excellence. The classified staff at Orange Unified School District make up one portion of the caring and committed individuals that form the amazing community of Orange!
