Whoa Dough is a cookie dough bar that is: gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, kosher, non-GMO, plant based, and soy-free. We created a real cookie dough indulgence that rewards healthy eaters. “Real Cookie Dough. Real Ingredients.” The founder, Todd Goldstein, wanted to create something that his boys, and anyone with gluten allergies could enjoy. Todd is self-diagnosed Celiac disease and missed the sweet and salty indulgence of cookie dough. Todd has always had a passion for the food industry and the desire to create a bar business. Todd felt inclined to create a bar that was mindful of not only gluten allergies but other food restrictions as well. Todd had recruited one of his LaunchHouse team members to do some research on the market and find some areas that may have holes. After some research, they realized the industry was missing an on-the-go cookie dough snack. Most options required refrigeration which could be tough for families always going. These healthy indulgences give parents the option to choose a snack that children can enjoy and not have to worry about sugar or high fructose corn syrup.
The process of making the bars took some time. We went through 19 iterations to create the flavor we have today. We sometimes worried that we might never get to a product that hit all our criteria: dairy-free, gluten-free, plant-based, egg-free, kosher, under 10g of sugar, and good tasting. We are confident, after sampling, that these are the bars that consumers enjoyed and will enjoy the most.
To help with the marketing of our bars, we have been sampling various events, demoing, and using social media to engage with our consumers. We are firm believers in customer service and we aim to personally respond to every message we receive. Looking at events, we are excited to attend events like Expo East and Expo West to promote our new product. We are hoping to get into stores across the nation so people are able to pick us up at their local grocer.
Our expectation for Whoa Dough is to continue to always give our customers “Real Cookie Dough Bars. Real Ingredients.” We plan to continue to engage with the community, as community is extremely important to us. We hope to be able to bring them more products in the future and add to the exciting lineup we currently have.
