Sunshine Coast, QLD – Athletes are prone to injuries because when adrenaline is rushing through an individual’s body, it’s easy to get caught up in an activity to the point of forgetting to take a rest. If not handled properly, it could develop into a more serious condition. Gary Javonena recently established Surf & Sports Myotherapy in Noosaville to provide quality massage therapy to professional athletes and enthusiasts alike. His commitment to each patient’s full rehabilitation has allowed his practice to quickly grow their presence all over the Sunshine Coast.
In regards to his practice, Gary Javonena said, “I decided to become a Myotherapist because, in my mind, there is nothing more rewarding than helping individuals get back to doing what they love and to feel healthy and happy. I studied and graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy from RMIT in 2017. I moved to Noosa in April 2019 with my wife and two kids. We lived in Torquay Victoria for 6 years prior, where I was working in a busy private practice with a bunch of legends who helped me to become the person and the practitioner that I am now.”
In a relatively small amount of time, Surf & Sports Myotherapy has become the highest-rated sports and remedial massage on the Sunshine Coast. As a passionate surfer, Gary understands what’s it’s like to go through a series of injuries that may keep an individual from doing what they love. He takes a holistic approach to rehabilitation by carefully assessing every patient to determine their root cause of discomfort so that an efficient management plan can be developed to help patients fully recover from any injury. Each plan is tailored to the specific needs of each patient, as the treatments he prescribes may include massages, dry needling interventions, cupping sessions, stretches, and strengthening workouts.
As the leading Myotherapist in the area, Gary Javonena at Surf & Sports Myotherapy can treat all types of conditions including back pain, headaches, sports injuries, rotator cuff problems, occupational injuries, Achilles tendinopathy or other ankle injuries, jaw pain, jaw clicking, fibromyalgia, as well as other chronic pain presentations such as neck and shoulder pain. Gary offers pre and post-treatments for individuals who are training for all types of sporting events including swimming competitions, marathons, triathlons, cycle races, Ironman Spartan races and more. His services are available to residents in communities all over Noosa, Tewantin, Noosaville, Sunshine Beach, Cooroy, Peregian Springs, Peregian Beach, Coolum, Buderim, Mooloolaba, and Maroochydore.
