Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – April 02, 2015 – “My Cat is Weird” Kickstarter campaign has been named Kickstarter Staff Pick. This is a crowdfunding campaign to fund printing and distribution cost of the children’s picture book. The moral of this incredibly funny and authentic story illustrates to readers that it is okay to be different. The goal is to raise $5,000 by April 25th, 2015.
Drew Miele, a proud father and artist, has been working on this project since Summer 2013. After the birth of his son and untimely passing of his wife, he has worked hard to raise his son while finding time to complete the book. Drew has teamed with Chris Fuller, an illustrator, animator, and designer who has worked for Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and various networks, to help him complete the book. Now it is finally 100 percent done and ready to be printed!
The book is about a cat and a child who goes on adventure as the adorable feline shows off its many odd characteristics. It is a funny and relatable story that every reader of all ages will enjoy. “My Cat is Weird” encourages people to accept and love themselves just as they are. The uniqueness of each individual is what makes everyone special.
“Cats are weird and this book gets it,” said Kathleen, a librarian from Pittsburgh. “With bold, graphic style, and straightforward language, Miele and Fuller give insight into life with a best friend cat. Any kids lucky enough to have a cat will read this book, laugh, and love it.”
