BANGKOK, THAILAND, May 07, 2014. At this grand culinary extravaganza, visitors will delight in a wondrous array of food products and beverages as well as related services and technologies exhibited by over 1,500 leading companies from Thailand, China, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Italy, Cambodia, Brazil, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey and Vietnam. The event will take place at a grand venue of over 60,000 sq.m. at Challenger 1-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, from May 21st to 25th, 2014.
In addition to a fascinating cornucopia of food products displayed in more than 3,200 booths, THAIFEX 2014 will present a variety of activities greatly beneficial to food professionals and people interested in the world of food.
“Thailand, Kitchen of the World” Exhibition: This exhibition showcases Thailand’s world-class capabilities as the “Kitchen of the World” and promotes the “Thailand, Kitchen of the World” logo designed to help strengthen the positive image towards Thai food products and restaurants overseas.
“Thai Select” and “Thai Food Franchise” Promotion: This activity aims to promote the “Thai Select” logo which is presented to outstanding Thai restaurants both in Thailand and overseas. In this zone, visitors will meet a vast variety of food products specially catered for food professionals, food franchise entrepreneurs and restaurant operators. Their products and services will be presented in a systematic and easy-to-understand manner in a total of 16 booths. Also available is a consultancy service for food professionals interested in applying for the “Thai Select” logo and a Thai cooking demonstration using “Thai Select” products.
“High Quality Halal Food of the World” Exhibition: This exhibition displays a comprehensive list of Halal food operators in Thailand for the benefit of foreign Halal food importers and overseas food operators. It also presents an easy-to-understand Halal certification process for export-grade Halal products to boost confidence that Thailand’s Halal products are fully compliant with the Halal procedure regulated and supervised by the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand (CICT).
“Thailand Trust Mark – TTM” Exhibition: This exhibition showcases TTM-bearing products and announces the latest batch of TTM winners. It also aims to promote greater understanding of TTM among international food entrepreneurs, importers and buyers.
“Thai Organic Pavilion” Exhibition: Interesting information on Thai organic products from production to certification and marketing are fully detailed in this insightful exhibition aimed at promoting the image of Thai organic products.
I+D Innovation plus Design Style Café: This specially designed café presents a host of innovative and environmentally friendly lifestyle items ideal for modern restaurants and beverage stores.
Seminars and workshops: Benefit from a range of interesting seminars and workshops including “World of Food Safety Conference”, “ThaiGAP… Developing Thai Agricultural Business Operators to International Food Safety Standards” and the “ASEAN Food Industry Thought Leaders Panel”.
DITP Service Center: This zone is specially dedicated to promoting the consultancy services of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) through six agencies under its command – Business Service Center, One-stop Export Service, E-Commerce Management Task Force, Business Monitoring Center, AEC Business Support Center, and, International Trade Training Institute.
In addition, visitors to this year’s THAIFEX event will be entertained by a host of activities including the 3rd ‘Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge’ Contest, the 2nd Roasters’ Choice Award, and the ‘World of Food Safety Excellence Awards’.
