David Raynolds has won awards and set new trends, and always strives to create new art forms. Positivity is a common streak that runs across his works. One can also see a strong influence of Coldplay, classical music, and offbeat artists like Nine Inch Nails. A piece of music with such diverse influences is hard to categorize, though one could make the attempt and call it a blend of EDM, Pop, and Industrial. David keeps the vocals direct, and his tone is the opposite of dry, leaving the listener wanting to hear more of its richness.
Critics too have received the single well, noting its ‘blasting words’, ‘high powered message’ and a mix that is ‘balanced and very detail-oriented, making for a lively, edgy and stark sonic approach’.
Inspired by Coldplay from an early age, the Canadian born actor and singer played on a toy piano when he was only one, yet getting his ‘compositions’ in the right key. Vivaldi, Beethoven, and Mozart became his early friends, and so did Queen. A memorable moment was his rendition of Elton John’s ‘Can you feel the love tonight?’ David won Gold for two years at the Kiwanis Music Festival for original compositions at the age of six and seven.
As a mature singer, David’s collaborations with award-winning Vancouver music producer Murray Yates have yielded many successes. They worked together on David’s first album, ‘I Believe in Me’. In the near future, the duo will continue to create new music and songs, and ‘Nuclear’ is just the beginning.
