Entrepreneurial Siblings Revolutionize Billion Dollar Industry

28 May, 2020 – Winter Garden, FL – What started as a need to protect pins from loss and prevent painful pricks turned into the million-dollar business GoPinPro and changed the landscape of pin trading and collecting forever, thanks to the ingenuity of three young entrepreneurs.

Alex, Sydney, and Julia always loved traveling to Disney World with their grandmother, who started the tradition of adding pins to their lanyards with each trip. However, they noticed that one or more of their pins had usually fallen off by the end of a long day in the amusement park.

The siblings’ inventively designed an alternative to a traditional pin book with their patent-pending Stick’N’Go technology which solved this problem. In 2017, at the ages of 13, 11, and 8, Alex, Sydney, and Julia founded their business by creating a way to store pins securely and painlessly: the PinFolio. After compiling a list of problems the pin-trading community frequently encounters, the siblings experimented with various materials and produced a pin book substitute that did not even require pin backs. Whenever the siblings used their new PinFolio in public, their creation quickly gained attention from individuals and families eager to purchase one for themselves.

Before GoPinPro’s trailblazing Stick’N’Go technology, no comparable product existed on the pin trading and collecting market. Now, Alex, Sydney, and Julia have sold safe storage for more than 6.6 million pins with worldwide distribution. They have been featured on a Fox Business segment with the original shark from “Shark Tank” Kevin Harrington, and they spoke about their products to fellow entrepreneurs alongside former Disney executive Dan Cockerell. Their PinFolios are used in the Guest Relations and Ticket Center at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

The siblings are already using their newfound success to give back to the world, designing pins and PinFolios for nonprofit organizations such as Give Kids the World and RAINN and donating the proceeds.

“Every pin holds a memory and tells a story. We know our (grandma) would be so proud to have been our inspiration behind GoPinPro,” the siblings said. “We work with ambition, passion, and lots of fun to make the best pin books possible. We learn from our mistakes, we learn from our success, we learn from our family and friends and we learn from our mentors. Each of us has our own individual strengths, but we shine when we work together.”

For the siblings, it is about more than a passion for pins—it is about innovation and creating a revolutionary product line to hold pins being collected all over the world for fandoms, travel destinations, and more. The siblings enjoy bringing people of all ages together through pins, helping customers protect their pin investments, and exhibit them with GoPinPro’s groundbreaking invention.
