Three of his four catches in that Super Bowl went for first downs. Cross helped lead the Giants to another Super Bowl in 2001.
Cross was a three-year starter at tight end for the University of Alabama, where he was All-SEC his junior year and won the Jacobs Trophy as the outstanding blocker in the Southeastern Conference as a senior. He was inducted into the Alabama Crimson Tide Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
