September 15th, 2020 – Carrie Maldonado, founder of Called for More, a career management firm based in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, has recently released a new program to help job seekers identify and land their dream jobs. She leverages over 25 years as an HR and Organizational Development Executive as well as a Recruiting and Leadership Consultant to help her clients land interviews and six-figure job offers even in highly competitive job markets.
“Most of my clients fall into two groups,” Maldonado says. “People who have been laid off and are experiencing ageism, and people who are just starting out their career. After COVID hit, things got even more difficult for people and the old ways of finding jobs just stopped working.”
Maldonado has found that besides not knowing how to present their skill sets on resumes and LinkedIn, many people are unaware of how most companies really hire. This leaves them feeling stuck and underemployed, knowing they have more to contribute but not knowing how to get a job that allows them to operate in their genius zone.
“After all my years of recruiting, I learned how hiring managers really function, and the unfortunate truth is it’s not how job seekers think. I had this AHA moment about a year ago when I was working with several companies who were convinced there weren’t great candidates out there, and at the same time I was career coaching several amazing candidates who couldn’t get noticed. Everyone wants the same thing, but they’re speaking different languages. I knew that something was broken, and I’ve been doing my best to help fix it”
Called for More, Dream Career was created exclusively for job seekers who need help and support for the entirety of the job search process.. After COVID, the added complexity of virtual interviews, requires even greater flexibility from everyone involved, Maldonado noticed, and added that to her program. Because the program has been so successful, Maldonado has recently launched a group coaching option for clients seeking to match with their ideal company and role, to allow for a more cost-effective option with weekly interactive training and Q&A sessions.
