Submer is proud to announce being awarded the best start-up award at the 2020 South Summit, the event promoted by investors and innovation experts such as, among others, Endesa, Google for Startups, BBVA, Wayra, BStartup of Banco Sabadell, Ferrovial and Mutua Madrileña.
The South Summit – that this year had an audience of more than 30,000 people – gathers innovation and entrepreneurship leaders from all over the world. The aim of the South Summit is to create a global platform active all year round to support and promote a start-up ecosystem constantly evolving.
“We are really honoured to receive this award. It is a further confirmation that the market needs our energy efficient and sustainable technology”, said Pol Valls, co-founder and CIO of Submer, global leader in Immersion Cooling solutions. “This year, at the South Summit, more than 3,800 projects from 115 countries were presented. It was a great ‘phygital’ experience with many judges distributed all over the world. This award together with the great traction we got on all types of datacenters and energy-related companies, confirms Submer’s successful progression to a scale-up company with presence worldwide”, added Valls.
Submer was founded in 2015 by Daniel Pope and Pol Valls, to make operating and constructing datacenters more sustainable and efficient. Submer helps enable datacenters that make sense through products, platforms, APIs, processes and installations that will move hyperscalers, colocation and huge industries to new levels of efficiency and innovation.
