When inspiration strikes Mr. Craig, one can expect a song. Mr. Craig is out with his latest single, “De-press-ion” to address an issue that cuts across all social barriers. The new single will be releasing this October 22, which also happens to be his aunt’s birthday.
If the letters in depression are re-arranged, it can spell “I pressed on”. Mr. Craig, the master of hip-hop and rap with elements of R&B, wants everyone to do the same when faced with the universal malady of depression. There is no lack of encouragement in this song, as Mr. Craig himself has had a long and arduous journey in his career, all of which finds an emotional reflection in his works.
It’s not about clubs and girls, but a music that fans can relate to all the time, with a contrast of light and darkness, the former often eclipsing it as life moves forward. There is no denying the timeliness of this single, as the world grapples with the Covid crisis. Mr. Craig had dropped another inspiring track in June called “Believe”.
“Life inspires my music. I just say what’s true to me and what I’m feeling at the moment I’m writing. When a track speaks to me, it’s on!” says Mr. Craig.
Most of Mr. Craig’s works are high energy productions, and each one carries a personality and passion. There is a whole palette of emotions to be found in every work. Mr. Craig grew up in Queens, New York and is an independent music artist. He was earlier known as ‘Strict-ly Shadow’, and compared to Tupac and Lupe Fiasco. Currently based in ‘DMV’ (D.C., Maryland, Virginia).
Mr. Craig is both an entrepreneur and an artist. His gear branded “Inspired By Mr. Craig’ was launched in 2018 with the release of “Inspired”, and is available from his official website and on Amazon.
