There are also plans to introduce a marine life preservation center as well as a private wildlife reserve, which will cover more than 85% of the land.

In addition, Pure Beach Resort will also feature Panama’s first signature Wildlife Research Center, which is confirmed to be in collaboration with various foundations and educational institutes.

The owning company, AWA DEVELOPMENT S.A., is working in close collaboration with local and international stakeholders, including the Panamanian government and the Ministry of Environment, to plan a self-sufficient and sustainably designed destination concept with energy plants, agriculture, aquaculture, and community outreach center in the later stages of the project.

Max Van Rijswijk, COO of AWA DEVELOPMENT S.A., comments, “Pure Beach Resort will be the first property in the province to showcase VERAWA’s authentic luxury and personalized hospitality concept. Whilst offering an outstanding employment opportunity for many members of the local community, the resort’s discerning guests will benefit greatly from the project’s luxurious lifestyle facilities. We believe Panama has enormous growth potential in the tourism and lifestyle sector, and we look forward to working with the Panamanian government and local stakeholders to maximize the potential of the destination. The development of Pure Beach Resort marks a key strategic move that provides synergy and acts as a bridgehead for VERAWA WORLD to establish a presence in Panama and the central Americas.”
