Palm Springs, CA, USA – November 9, 2020 – Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of the 6th Annual Leaves & Petals International Art Exhibition. The exhibition is now available for viewing on the Fusion Art website and features awards in three categories: Traditional Art, Digital Art & Photography and 3-Dimensional Art.
For this exhibition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, were invited to submit their best art and photography depicting flowers, leaves, herbs, plants, shrubs, bushes, hedges and other botanical or floral subjects. All artists, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their work in any media.
The 6th Annual Leaves & Petals Best in Show winners are Xiaoxia Chen for her watercolor on paper, “Lotus”, Merrilee Soberg for her digital art, “Sunny Side Up” and Phyllis Mantik deQuevedo for her bronze sculpture, “Forest Fountain”. Xiaoxia, Merrilee and Phyllis are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of November 2020 and, as the Best in Show winners, all three artists are invited to participate in Fusion Art’s 5th Annual Group Show in Palm Springs, California in 2021.
Other award winners include Second Place winners, Marcia Pyner, Ulrike Unterbruner and Wenhao Hu. Third Place awards were given to Barney Levitt, Mark Rein and Yuliia Khovbosha. Fourth Place awards were given to Stephanie Lawing, Francesco Lombardi and Jacki Cohen. Fifth Place awards were given to Cher Pruys, Rochelle Berman and Kim Bernadas.
Rounding out the awards for the exhibition are fifteen Honorable Mention winners. Honorable Mention awards in the Traditional Art category were given to Gary Symington, Nancy Jacey, Evelyn Dunphy, Hunter Jay, Ada Gurevich and Charles Lyon.
Honorable Mention awards in the Photography & Digital category were given to Melissa Fisher, Nicholas Teetelli, Cindy Charles, Barbara Mierau-Klein, Patrick O’Brien and Steven Rodvoid.
Honorable Mention awards in the 3-Dimensional category were given to Karen Ford, Rebecca Carlton and Sandra Luehrsen.
The remaining finalists in the exhibition all exemplified uniquely creative talents and we are honored to showcase their artwork on the Fusion Art website.
The international competition received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists all around the world, including the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, China, Malaysia, India, South Africa, Finland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, South Korea, Taiwan, Ukraine and Spain. Overall, the gallery judged 740 entries and accepted 254 artworks into the exhibition, which will be featured on the website for the month of November.
Founded by Award winning artist, Chris and Valerie Hoffman, Fusion Art was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it. The website promotes and connects new, emerging and established artists with collectors and art enthusiasts, while offering the opportunity to participate in art competitions, exhibitions and experiences.
Each month and quarter Fusion Art hosts uniquely themed solo and group art competitions and exhibitions.
