Dan Joffe and Jon Cohen are the founders and partners of Next Law Professional Corporation, an Ontario Canada based law firm that handles criminal, serious traffic, and family law matters.
Next Law has announced the launch of its free online legal tools. These tools will help Ontario residents better understand the implications, penalties and financial impact resulting from their current legal situation.
Mr. Joffe and Mr. Cohen are leveraging their knowledge and expertise in software development, combined with their knowledge in the legal market, to deliver free, helpful legal tools to people facing criminal, traffic or family law matters.
The first tools to be released include:
A “DUI / Impaired Driving Arrest Test” – This free test allows a visitor to answer some simple questions about their arrest and with results showing how their arrest may impact their case.
A “Stunt Driving” Penalty calculator and a “No Insurance” Penalty Calculator – These free tests will help visitors understand the severity of the penalties they may face when appearing in the Ontario Provincial Court for their charges.
The site is also finalizing a free Child Support calculator and Spousal Support calculator for Family Law matters in the coming weeks.
After a visitor uses one of these free legal tools, Mr. Joffe and Mr. Cohen will be positioned to develop a customized legal strategy based on the test results. All at no cost to the user.
“Many visitors to legal websites are not familiar with the legal process but are not yet ready to speak to a lawyer. These free legal tools allow these visitors to familiarize themselves with the financial and punitive ramifications regarding their legal matter,” says Mr. Joffe.
These free tools are designed to help visitors get educated about their matters before taking the next steps. To further support its visitors, Mr. Joffe and Mr. Cohen have created a library of valuable free content.
