Washington, DC – Lipscript cosmetics celebrates its official launch! DMV native Donica White created this vegan cosmetic line with hopes of inspiring women to feel confident in the products they are wearing. She’s a small business owner and chemical engineer. Ms. White took on the challenge launching her business despite the pandemic.
The line consists of nourishing high quality ingredients and inspiring messages to enrich the soul. There are 8 lipsticks, 3 lip glosses and 4 lip lines. Each product was carefully developed and named with the purpose of encouraging everyday women to fulfill their purpose.
“I hope my cosmetics inspire you to never give up on your dreams and give you light during dark times. These lip products are more than beauty cosmetics. They are symbols of encouragement you can use everyday. Roman 8:28 is my go-to verse for this,” said founder Donica White.
Lipscript products are made with natural organic ingredients and are 100% vegan. All products are free of harmful and artificial chemicals. None of LipScript cosmetics contain any animal or animal derived ingredients. Products are composed of quality waxes, butters, cosmetic grade iron oxides, and essential oils.
The Lipscript lipsticks are composed of 85% organic raw materials and 10% certified safe synthetics for coloring only. They are 100% vegan. Lip glosses are made of 90% organic ingredients and are 100% vegan. Liners are 90% organic and 100% vegan. “These products are so safe, you could eat LipScript Cosmetics. But we don’t recommend it.”
About the Founder & Owner:
DMV native Donica White started this company with a mini lab in her office. After receiving her Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in 2014 from Clark Atlanta University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, she began her career as a Process Engineer at a world renown paper and chemical company. She quickly advanced and was promoted to the role of Quality Manager over the facility. Then she became the Corporate Quality Engineer for all chemical plants for the same company. Ms. White was awarded the “Top 20 under 30 in the Pulp and Paper Industry” in 2016. She was offered a position at a top cosmetic line in the U.S. But she turned it down to fulfill her own dreams.
In 2018, she started to formulate her own lipstick line in her home office. Then she manufactured and tested the product with other scientists. The first color of the collection is called FAITH. Because if not for her Faith in God this brand would have never come into existence.
Ms. White is available for virtual interviews via zoom or in person interviews in the DMV and Atlanta area. She splits her time in both cities in order to work on her product line.
