Palm Springs, CA, USA – December 10, 2020 – Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of the 6th Annual Colorful Abstractions International Art Exhibition. The exhibition is now available for viewing on the Fusion Art website and features awards in three categories: Traditional Art, Digital Art & Photography and 3-Dimensional Art.
For this exhibition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, were invited to submit their best nonobjective or nonrepresentational art. All artists, over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their best work in any media.
The 6th Annual Colorful Abstractions Best in Show winners are Hannelore Fischer for her acrylic on canvas, “Intersection 5”, Y. Hope Osborn for her digitally manipulated photography, “Cosmos” and Cynthia Correia for her latex on wood sculpture, “Archway Shadows”. Hannelore, Hope and Cynthia are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of December 2020 and, as the Best in Show winners, all three artists are invited to participate in Fusion Art’s 6th Annual Group Show in Palm Springs, California in 2021.
Other award winners include Second Place winners, Merritt Richardson, Roland Escalona and Terry J. Anderson. Third Place awards were given to Ulf Koenig, Gareth Jones and Lollie Ortiz. Fourth Place awards were given to Zhou Jie, Mark Rein and Brian Mark. Fifth Place awards were given to Loretta Ana Kaufman, Elizabeth Kayl and Jacki Cohen.
Rounding out the awards for the exhibition are fifteen Honorable Mention winners.
Honorable Mention awards in the Traditional Art category were given to Eric Lotz, Jillian Blake, Joanne D’Ambrosio, Tim Rasmussen, Barbi Niblick and Donna Miller Haggerty.
Honorable Mention awards in the Photography & Digital category were given to Barbara Leven, Emily Hastings, Carly Tyll, Barbara Mierau-Klein, Sylvia Bandyke and Garret Demarest.
Honorable Mention awards in the 3-Dimensional category were given to Marina Smelik, Deborah W. Perlman and Nini Lion.
The remaining finalists in the exhibition all exemplified uniquely creative talents and we are honored to showcase their artwork on the Fusion Art website.
The international competition received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists all around the world, including the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, China, France, Japan, India, Romania, South Africa, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Moldova, Oman, the Philippines, Russia, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. Overall, the gallery judged 601 entries and accepted 186 artworks into the exhibition, which will be featured on the website for the month of December.
Founded by Award winning artist, Chris and Valerie Hoffman, Fusion Art was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it. The website promotes and connects new, emerging and established artists with collectors and art enthusiasts, while offering the opportunity to participate in art competitions, exhibitions and experiences.
