The IBM PartnerWorld Program is founded on education and technical training to help enable IBM Partners as they work with their clients. This investment in enablement and training helps IBM partners act as an extension of IBM as they support their own clients on IBM solutions. Client enablement is at the core of both IBM and PacGenesis.
Just this year, David La Rose was appointed General Manager of the IBM PartnerWorld Ecosystem. In a recent interview with theCUBE, David spoke on IBM’s investment in the partner program moving into 2021 and their laser-focused support for IBM clients through their partners. To do so, IBM is focusing on resources and investment to create more educational opportunities and incentives for partners to better serve clients. The IBM PartnerWorld path from registered to platinum provides new and exciting opportunities for partner clients and holds with it a certain level of IBM expertise as IBM Partners seek to move up the ranks in partner status.
Registered Partner is the first available partner tier for IBM Partners. This tier authorized organizations to resell IBM solutions as a verified IBM Partner within IBM PartnerWorld. For companies to better support their clients and move into Silver, they have to demonstrate sales success and show their level of technical understanding through training and certification programs.
At Silver, IBM Partners benefit from access to more educational material, more certification capabilities, and get access to education discount vouchers that can help support their clients. Of course, to move out of silver into gold is going to require dedication to the program and to their clients. For a partner to move into Gold status, they must achieve 1st competency and verify that competency reference. This again shows that IBM values the IBM Partner Ecosystem to be technically enabled and up-to-speed on all IBM solutions so they can act as an extension of IBM as they support their clients.
Gold status raises the bar once again. Here IBM Partners must maintain valid client satisfaction surveys, build client sales success, and achieve a 2nd-year competency to maintain Gold and look to push into that platinum status.
