Tarek Al-Khaldi, a founder of the Binary Time Machine based in Istanbul, Turkey, has announced an exciting new crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for his latest software platform created in collaboration with Ramez Siddiq. The platform, titled “Binary Time Machine,” will usher in a new digital mining era that will generate thousands of random files and share them with the rest of the world.
These files could be images that represent the past, present, and future. People from all around the world with internet access can utilize the platform to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the universe.
Files generated from the Binary Time Machine may generate an infinite variety of images, including those taken from different time periods. However, some of them may not be an accurate representation of reality: for instance, the platform could produce an image of the Mona Lisa with blond hair. Regardless, such unexpected photos could be interpreted as reflections of parallel universes where they are perceived as the truth.
With a total goal of $482,000, funds gathered through the campaign will be used to facilitate the project’s production and ensure the platform is completed in full. Early backers of the campaign can pledge SEK 18 to receive 14,560 Space-Time Free Files, SEK 36 to receive 21,840 Space-Time Free Files, or SEK 54 to receive 29,120 Space-Time Free Files, amongst other options. The campaign will be open until March 18, 2021.
