The website is currently offering free shipping on all orders over fifty dollars.
“LikeMeNine is about promoting beauty. For a while, as a new mother, I had let myself go. I needed to find some inspiration and refind myself. That’s when I created the company and decided that not only would the products be beautiful, but they would be purposeful too,” said Demi, Founder of LikeMeNine.
Products made by and made for black women is a growing market but is also still a limited market. Cosmetic and fashion companies are still catching up to create products that not only are for a diverse demographic, but that also showcase models and logos that reflect women of color. This said, African-Americans spend $1.2 trillion each year, and that number is projected to rise to $1.5 trillion by 2021 in purchasing power with 65% of this figure dedicated to beauty products.
“First, I remember when I was a young girl and even now, a lot of things I wanted to buy, but never saw my image. I also can’t stand the sight of things that are plain (pillowcases and bags), so I decided to showcase average and exceptionally beautiful black women on them. Not only will my products help customers with their skin and hair, but it will also keep them organized,” finished Demi.
LikeMeNine features a ‘Black Queens Collection’ and the website offers a deal of the week promotion. Additionally, the durable products are handmade with care and provide a variety of different designs that are unique. In addition to the website, LikeMeNine also has an Etsy store, too.
