With the pandemic stalling and slowing job opportunities across the world, leading innovative recruitment firm Swapp Agency ramped up its services to help connect foreign job seekers with Icelandic companies.
The Reykjavik-based company said it has scaled up efforts to become a bridge between Iceland and the rest of the world when it comes to recruitment in Iceland, outsourcing and payroll services, business in Iceland, tech solutions and legal assistance.
Whether it’s entry or executive level, Swapp Agency said it helps companies find the best candidate that suits companies’ requirements and needs.
During the recruitment process, Swapp Agency initially conducts an assessment of requirements where it reviews and evaluates client’s business objectives, expectations, challenges, and opportunities. After understanding what is needed, the firm designs an appropriate strategy.
The job requirements are then communicated to Swapp’s team of recruiters who will work to find the right person that fits the role and work culture of our client. The team screens potential recruits through CV review, phone screen, psychometric test, personality test, simulation test, and language test, among others. After a candidate is hired, Swapp will request a review of the service provided.
“Swapp Agency encourages client feedback and strives to make any necessary improvements for the next recruitment. We assure honesty and discreetness when dealing with application while providing support through an individuals’ job search journey in Iceland,” a representative of the company said in a statement.
Swapp Agency has also put forward an Employer of record (EOR) model, which acts as a third-party entity that will handle all employment-related tasks on behalf of other businesses.
“Setting up a legal entity in a country and employ staff in foreign country invites a lot of efforts and problems. Managing taxes, governmental costs, liabilities can be tricky for a non-local entity,” the representative said.
Swapp Agency said through its EOR model, it will handle all the taxes, employers’ cost, and all other things that are related to the employee.
For instance, if a business from the United States is looking to hire people from Iceland to do a local project, Swapp Agency said it would take a lot of effort from the company to find employees, hire recruits, and handle all taxes and payments.
“This is where the employer of record in Iceland comes in. It will have a pool of candidates that will work for a company. The recruitment firm will get the best talent from Iceland and they won’t even have to handle all the things,” the representative added.
Given the difficulty of getting local incorporation that is both costly and time-consuming, Swapp Agency said through the EOR, international companies won’t need any local incorporation if they want to find some staff from other countries.
“Companies also need not worry about the laws and the rules of the country. Swapp will handle the visa and abide by the local rules,” the representative said.
Swapp Agency works as an EOR in Iceland. The recruitment firm said it has helped companies by giving them the best employees in Iceland and has assisted job seekers and individuals land a job.
