Author and businessman Lual Lual speaks on plans to create thousands of jobs for South Sudanese in 2021.
Global warming and pollution are really hurting the world. Mountain Ridge Gen Trading Ltd focuses on a renewable energy strategy towards their production, that protects the environment and people.
Author and businessman, Lual Lual, is leading the ambitious and focused goal of expanding the private sectors role in the economic development of South Sudan. With his company Mountain Ridge, he facilitates international and regional companies to successfully participate in private sector investment opportunities in the East African nation by building renewable energy facilities, assisting in logistics, marketing, hiring and training of the local population as employees in their businesses. With agriculture production and solar powered manufacturing plants at the company’s mission focus, he has caught the interest of many investors by consistently and quickly reaching growth targets and energetically quoted as saying “we are just getting started”.
“There is no country with no political challenges. The security situation is an obvious deterrent to foreign direct investment into our country, but I strongly believe as the private sector, if we focus on our work of creating and maintaining the jobs and giving back to the communities which we work in terms of grants, infrastructure and livelihood betterments, investors should not fear about achieving their business goals in the country,” says Lual.
“It is easier said then done, but I like to show by action. This year we are anticipating massive hiring and training for our corporate expansion projects. We invite investors to participate and even invite other companies to reach out to us for collaboration. As more activity in the private sector means more development for the country. I am not concerned about competition.” – says Lual.
Spearheading stable support in software, training and organisation as highlighted on the company’s website, confidently claiming they have all the talent needed to support your manufacturing needs. 85% of South Sudan’s population is spread out across rural areas. There is a logistical challenge and hiring recruitment challenge, which the company has claimed to have overcome. They will also be one of the first companies in Africa and the world with a 100% renewable energy policy for their facilities and they encourage their partners to do the same. “It is better for the environment, and better for the profits, the sun is free.” Says Lual.
