2020 is certainly going to be known as one of the most rich in recent history in more ways than we can realize. Between the rise of COVID-19 and the changes in the world, there is certainly a great deal to be said about the year that was 2020.
Danielle Lazier is a real estate listing agent San Francisco, California. Her 2020 was certainly different than most but in ways many may not recognize. Her agency saw some excellent numbers for each of the ten different sections in one of California’s largest cities.
The biggest surprise for Lazier and her Realtors in San Francisco is how well the market did. 2020 saw an incredible 20 percent increase in listings – new, sold and pending. There were less homes sold over a list price in 2020 over 2019 in District One for example, but the 19 percent change is easy to explain.
“The difference is because there were more offers in cash and ‘buy it now’ than previous years. This means people were ready to close and move into or out of properties. It worked out exceptionally well for all involved,” said Lazier.
The condos sat on the market for a little more time than in 2019, an average of five days. This is still very good numbers for District One. Numbers for higher end condos dropped approximately 20 percent but still sold and sold well.
Lazier and her real estate agents serve all of San Francisco. The website carries properties all across the city and covers each of the 10 districts.
