Seoul, Korea – Pireco, a student who starts up, is taking the world by storm with its international standardization of companion animal biometrics. The company is indulged in developing individual identification technology employing biometric information of the eyes and nose of the companion animals.
Praised immensely for its mobile application ‘Peterpet’, Pireco is super-excited to announce its biometric technology that permits puppy registration using dog inscription. Taeheon Kim, CEO of Pireco, a graduate student of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNIST, reveals that Pireco desires to create biometric technology as an optimal solution. “The current companion registration system enforced by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs registers animals by inserting an internal chip and attaching and an external identification tag. This method is truly harmful and comes with myriad concerns regarding the side effects of chip implantations and loss problems. Biometric, therefore, works to eradicate the need of chips.”
Kim further shares that the biometric recognition technology would recognize companion animals based on their characteristics and inscription of iris and eyes shape. “With Pireco, we desire to create an easy puppy resignation process that permits innocent creatures to live freely without inconvenient chips and necklaces.”
The biometric technology will proffer three major function configurations: automatic video detection function, real-time processing function, and multiple biometrics.
Alongside developing biometric technology to improve the quality of life of companion animals, Pireco has also created organic animal sponsorship. As organic animals are increasing in population, many pets that deserve warm love and care are abandoned. Pireco, thus, is committed to protecting these abandoned animals by sponsoring local animal shelters.
With all its endeavors, Pireco remains on edge as an advocate of animal rights. “All animals are able to suffer in the same way and to the same degree that humans do. They also pain, pleasure, frustration, loneliness, fear, and motherly love. Whenever we do anything that involves snooping with their needs, we as humans are morally obligated to take their feelings into account and be respectful towards it,” says Kim. “Pireco is all about social values and igniting the sense of responsibility among individuals towards animals and their rights.”
Pireco believes that it’s their responsibility as inhabitants of this planet to protect all living things, specifically animals. Thus, the company works tirelessly to protect the lives of companion animals, making them chip-free.
Pireco, with its biometric recognition technology for companion animals, is all set to revolutionize animal registration procedures across the globe.
