SOUNDS OF LONDON is an upcoming art exhibition focused on the sounds and photographs of London during the first lockdown of the global pandemic. The exhibition will open its door to the public this summer in Central London and will showcase some of the most memorable moments from the city’s history during this historic period. To launch this exhibition successfully, the creators of this project have recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, and they are welcoming generous support and backing.
“This exhibition will enable the people to rediscover the act of listening and increases the awareness of what surrounds them every day.” Said Lara Ricca, the planner of this exhibition, while introducing this project to the Kickstarter community. Moreover, sounds in this exhibition have been recorded by sound designer Will Cohen and each audio recording is linked to a photograph by Jan Enkelmann. Furthermore, the exhibition also includes a video Alessandro Mariscalco, an Italian video maker, who captured the empty streets of London during lockdown.
The Kickstarter Campaign is located on the web at:
www.kickstarter.com/projects/1643542820/sounds-of-london and backers from around the world can become a part of this project by making generous pledges and donations. Moreover, the goal of this Kickstarter campaign is to raise a sum of GBP 3,500 and Lara is offering invitations and private view of this exhibition as a reward for the backers from around the world. Furthermore, more details are available on the Kickstarter campaign page of the project.
