Ronin, an industry leader in automatic rope ascender manufacturing, has announced a contract manufacturing partnership with Irvine-based Circuit Assembly for the production of its flagship product, the Ronin Lift.
Ronin’s objective for outsourcing production is multi-faceted: it will help eliminate overhead costs by reducing the need for more on-site staff, free up Ronin team members for product development, marketing, and sales outreach. In short, the company can scale its production without a substantial upfront cash investment that in-house processes would create.
The Ronin Lift is a compact battery-powered rope ascension tool that is used heavily in the power utility, oil and gas, wind tower, military, construction, entertainment spaces, and many other industries across the globe. The 24 lb. unit has a safe working load of 400 lbs. and is one of the most popular products of its type currently on the market.
The need for an outside source for production was first envisioned by Ronin’s general manager and co-owner Ryan Estrada. One of Estrada’s primary concerns by taking this approach to scaling production was to find a company that could meet Ronin’s standards of excellence. An online search led him to Circuit Assembly and he was immediately impressed by how CA representatives approached his request.
“The Circuit Assembly team is nothing short of a blessing,” Estrada says. “Our products are relied upon around the globe for their unbeatable quality, performance, and overall value. The prospect of finding another company that shares our passion was a bit daunting at first, but CA has really put all our minds at ease and allowed us to keep growing in other areas.”
