Boston, MA – Tripli recently launched BuyLo, a browser extension that automatically helps users to find cheaper rates for their flights. Co-founder, Ju Li believes that consumers have been overpaying for flights without knowing it. Therefore, he created this tech to help users find up to 54% lower prices on the exact same flight at checkout. In his words, “The travel industry has been using their algorithms to line their pockets at the expense of their customers. With BuyLo, we hope to disrupt this industry practice by showing our users the low prices that the industry doesn’t want you to know about. Users should not be paying $1,000 for a seat that the airline is selling for $500 on a different website.”
BuyLo automates the tedious and time-consuming process of searching for the same flight on different booking websites to save money, a practice called “price shopping”. The extension detects the ticket about to be purchased and checks hundreds of booking sites for a lower price. People may be hesitant to travel right now due to the pandemic but Ju Li anticipates a resumption of normal travel in 2021 and this ‘tool would let everyone travel much cheaper because times are hard and people need to save money.’
Users can add this tool to their browsers for free by using the links in GetBuyLo.com. It will automatically pop up at checkout on any of BuyLo’s supported airlines and flight booking sites, which currently include Delta, Air Canada, British Airways, Kayak and more. According to a user, ‘‘Best extension EVER! Saved me $83 without any effort 🙂 It found me the exact same flight for cheaper by just booking on a different site! I’ll definitely keep using it and I highly recommend this for anyone!’’ Again, another user thought it was a ‘super useful app for travelers.’ He said, ‘I love that it runs automatically every time I tried to book a flight. Even the similar flights that the app suggested me were saving me way more money for only a small different departure time than my original flight. Will continue to use it!’
The extension is available to both Chrome and Firefox.
