Florida – March 19, 2021 – A U.S.-based scholarship program is now opening its applications for the school year 2021-2022. The recently successful granting of Marc Zboch’s Academic Scholarship for the year 2020-2021 is granted to Katrina, a student from Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College. For the current school year, another $1,000 shall be granted to a U.S. college student or incoming freshman, which will be announced in February 2022.

Many students struggle with the financial burden of pursuing higher education. For those who don’t have the money for college, achieving that diploma seems more like a faraway dream rather than a reality. At present, recent graduates in the United States even struggle with the debt of student loans. The debt that students face during and even after college graduation is a real crisis in the country. The average amount that needs to be paid off is $ 32,000–a staggering price for those who are just starting off in life.

Philanthropist and missionary Marc Zboch understands the struggles of U.S. college students. Having served in many countries with impoverished communities, he understands the value of education to uplift people’s lives. This inspired him to start the Marc Zboch Academic Scholarship, which provides financial support for U.S. college students and incoming freshmen.

Interested students for the school year 2021-2022 are encouraged to apply. To meet the eligibility requirements, one must either be an undergraduate or a graduate student in a U.S. college or university. Alternatively, the student can also be an incoming freshman with an acceptance document to a U.S. college or university. Applicants can visit the official scholarship website to fill in their personal details, and submit a 500-word essay to the question: “Tell us about a meaningful experience where you were able to help others?” All submissions will be reviewed until February 1, 2022. After deliberation, one chosen student will receive the $1,000 for the upcoming semester in 2022.

The Marc Zboch Academic Scholarship is founded as a way to provide financial assistance to struggling yet inspiring students in the U.S. Having started supporting missionary work, Marc Zboch was inspired to spearhead a scholarship program after seeing how much education can change the quality of life in nations he served. The program desires to give back to the hardworking students and their families so that they could help improve their communities and beyond.
