Most energy storage systems (such as UPS and solar energy storage systems) use lead-acid batteries, but more and more people are starting to use lithium iron phosphate batteries (Boyeenergy).
How does Boyeenergy replace lead-acid batteries?
Boyeenergy batteries are always compatible with lead-acid battery equipment, and at the same time have a higher discharge platform, volumetric capacity and cycle life.
12.8V 7Ah lead-acid battery
The nominal voltage of each battery of a lead-acid battery is 2.1V, while Boyeenergy is 3.2V.
In order to connect battery packs in series to form a 12V battery pack, lithium iron phosphate requires only 4 battery packs (3.2V x 4 = 12.8V), while a lead-acid battery requires 6 battery packs (2.1V x 6 = 12.6V). Based on this knowledge, it is clear that lithium iron phosphate batteries are more advantageous than lead-acid batteries in terms of energy ratio, weight and volume.

Each Boyeenergy modular 12.8V battery can be set in parallel or in series to meet the needs of the current setting. For example, for a 48V setting, 4 12V batteries should be connected in series. Just remove the lead-acid batteries and replace them with lithium iron phosphate batteries, then connect the cables and fix the fixing brackets.
Limitations of lead-acid batteries
The charging efficiency of lead-acid batteries is relatively low, only 70%, while the charging efficiency of Boyeenergy batteries can exceed 80% or even 90%. Lead-acid batteries require more energy to charge, so a lot of energy is lost during the charging process.

Smart multi-cell battery
Boyeenergy batteries are equipped with a battery management system (BMS) board, and you can check the state of charge (SOC). More importantly, the 12.8V modular Boyeenergy battery can be connected multiple times, so you can connect the batteries in series and parallel (max 4S10P; maximum parameters are 51.2V and 70Ah) without an external BMS. You can also assemble the battery into different structures and shapes to fit the available space of the device.
