Los Angeles, CA, United States – Naja Hayward, founder, and CEO of Naja Tea (https://www.najatea.com), is taking on the globe in her new role as a Global Wellness Ambassador for women over the age 40.
Hayward will travel to 12 countries over the course of 12 months documenting how cultures outside of the United States define and practice wellness. The tea connoisseur will document her wellness encounters through interviews and hands-on experiences with a cross-cultural collection of experts who are also experts in their respective fields.
Hayward has spent more than 10 years working as an advocate for holistic health. Through Naja Tea, she has crafted teas and custom blends that work to heal and support different aspects of a woman’s overall well-being – a practice that is known as “The Naja Tea Experience.”
The Los Angeles native promotes physical, spiritual, mental and emotional health as the four key pillars to every woman’s wellbeing, no matter what stage or age of life they may be experiencing.
During her 12-month wellness journey, Hayward plans to learn and share unique ways that each of the 12 countries have historically practiced healthy lifestyles for women.
“This voyage is an exciting opportunity for me to gather a collection of best practices that women all around the world use in order to live life at its best,” said Hayward. “I expect there will be great personal benefit for me in experience. But more importantly, I anticipate it will allow me to help other women who want to learn secrets from around the world that have been used for centuries to maintain vibrant and healthy lives.”
The inspiration behind this project was Hayward’s recent keynote address at an event for the Los Angeles chapter of The Coalition of 100 Black Women. During her speech for the organization’s Women’s Wellness Month, Hayward used references from video-recorded interviews she previously conducted with four women between the ages of 92 and 102 to highlight their respective wellness journeys.
Documenting the health-related journeys of these four senior women – who are still alive, active and healthy – proved to be such an inspiration that Hayward committed herself to a worldwide pursuit to profile the wellness experiences of other women from around the world.
Hayward’s 12-month journey will begin August 2021 and take her to Croatia, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Peru, Brazil, Columbia and Mexico. Each month she will interview experts, practitioners, healers and product and service-based businesses in a different country to learn their unique ways of Wellness.
The excursion will also include interviews with women who have surpassed the age of 90 in order to understand the specific decisions they made to build healthy lifestyles.
Hayward is in talks with two production companies to turn these interviews into a documentary when she returns to the United States in August 2022.
In addition to operating Naja Tea, Hayward coaches women entrepreneurs on self-care after 40, which includes tips on how to gain the confidence to take care of themselves and embrace their personal strengths to build the life they desire. She also helps women break away from their fears and gain visibility through digital marketing and social media.
Recently, Hayward was cited by The Valley Economic Development Centre as an Exceptional Woman in Business. She was recognized as Coach of the Year for her empowerment projects.
Hayward is the mother of a twenty-two year old sophomore baseball player for California State University, Chico and of a fifteen year old dog son named Hawk. Her home base is Los Angeles, California.
