March 26, 2021 – The Berkeley-based clothing line is creating a buzz with athletic wear that is both sexy for the modern day woman yet sustainable.
This small label of consciously created athletic wear comes as more consumers are becoming increasingly interested in clothing sustainability. An average consumer throws away 70 pounds (31.75 kilograms) of clothing per year. Globally we produce 13 million tons of textile waste each year 95% of which could be reused or recycled. a•rose is not the only brand to spread awareness of how wasteful the fashion industry can be. Large companies such as Gucci, Stella McCartney and Eileen Fisher have also voiced the importance of sustainable fashion.
a•rose collection is created using high quality Italian fabrics made of an eco friendly fabric called ECONYL®. The fabric also has a high UV protection factor (UPF 50+). The quality and designs have been loved by Pilates and Yoga instructors alike. New York City based Ashtanga Yoga instructor Mikala is a huge fan. “The fabric is absolutely amazing.” She was referring to her newly released MILF 2.0 set. “Just sexy!” she added.
The companies creative director and founder stated in a short interview, “Our goal is to help customers look and feel their absolute best, while doing our best to reduce the carbon footprint we leave on our earth.”
a•rose sets the tone for what up and coming athletic wear brands should be. This is a brand to watch.
