APRIL 13, 2021 – The effect of Covid-19 has taken the world by storm in 2020. The world as we know has changed forever in many faucets. When the virus first entered the US, New York was the epic center and was hit the hardest. As a result, aside from the increased death toll and higher infection rate, many businesses have to be shut down to combat the pandemic.
Native to Queens New York, Hiroki was a successful chef who specialized in Asian Fusion. As a result of the pandemic, his restaurant had to enter the lockdown. He had to spend more time at home with his wife and daughter. They both love sushi and want to try making their own. They purchased sushi-making kits online but were disappointed that the kit broke after first use. Seeing his daughter’s disappointed face, Hiroki determined to delight his family by making his own sushi-making kit using only premium materials such as sturdy knives and BPA-free plastic. Hiroki did not think of selling the kit online initially, but many friends convinced him otherwise subsequently trying the kit.
Hence, the popular kitchen and gourmet food brand “Tasjin” was born. Aside from the sushi kit, Hiroki later introduced many other products. These products include Takoyaki maker, egg waffle maker, sprouting kit, dumpling kit, hot sauce maker kit, various DIY kits, and other complementary products.
Afterward, Tasjin’s sister brands, “Teable” (specialized in gourmet tea products). “Elo’s Premium” (specialized in premium bakery ingredients and more) and “Elosgreen” (specialized in in-home plant systems) were born. All of the brands strive to achieve what Tasjin has done, bringing people around the world together through food and food making.
