As a Turkish Chef ANIL UZUN combines time-honored traditions and the joy of making bread from scratch alive. During the class ANIL UZUN will teach his recipes and hands-on demonstrations on bread baking. The students will learn how to make a starter and a variety of Turkish breads, including pide, lavash, and traditional stone baked Turkish white bread.
ANIL UZUN says “I want the people who take the class to taste, smell, and feel their way to fresh, warm Turkish bread at home. I want to reflect on the relationship between bread and art, because Turkish bread makers have been making art since ancient times.”
Bread making with ANIL UZUN will teach how to source flour, kneading, the basic cooking methods most often used for bread baking, practical guidelines to bake and types of traditional Turkish breads and how to make them.
The lessons are:
Meeting ANIL UZUN and introduction to Turkish-style bread
Sourdough starting and kneading
The lessons will be free – live on Zoom every Friday during April, at 07.00pm.
