Eating healthy, simple, and having an Instagram worthy plate all at once surely can’t be impossible to achieve. Throw in the filter of supporting small businesses while purchasing that food makes the task a bit harder. Add in quick prep time and a tight grocery budget and all of a sudden there’s one meal option, salad. At least, that’s how it feels. That’s why Annette Bellisari created Bellisari’s Gourmet Convenience line of spreads and sauces.
Annette is a single, working mom from Upper Arlington, Ohio. She started the gourmet convenience brand with the idea that busy lives (like hers) still deserve to achieve gourmet food with the limited time that they have. The brand is unique in that every single product has been formulated in Annette’s kitchen along with the hundreds of recipes she has created with them. The recipes, found at https://bellisaris.com/pages/recipes, show simple ways to easily elevate dishes to perfection. For instance, the Saigon Ginger Pulled Pork is a fan favorite that consists of under 20 minutes of meal prep and only 3 ingredients (plus salt and pepper, of course). The addition of the Bellisari’s Saigon Street Sauce takes any dish from ordinary to extraordinary, a pattern that all of these recipes follow.
In just five years, this brand has grown from Annette’s kitchen to winning international awards. The Bellisari’s Balsamic, Shallot, & Black Garlic Spread, found at https://bellisaris.com/collections/spreads/products/balsamic-shallot-black-garlic-spread, recently won the Sofi™ Gold Award as part of the Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) 2021 sofi™ Awards, a top honor in the $158 billion specialty food industry.
The brand has further proven itself by rapidly growing into hundreds of stores across the country ranging from local grocery stores in Ohio such as Weiland’s Market, to major grocery retailers such as Giant Eagle Market District, The Fresh Market, and Kroger. To top it off, Bellisari’s has gained traction in Texas by expanding into Central Market. Despite this growth, the brand has maintained the utmost integrity. For instance, all of Bellisari’s products are gluten free except for the Barista Sauce. The sauce has such low gluten content that legally Annette could have labelled it as gluten free but chose not to in order to stay loyal and transparent to her customers. The brand also grows and maintains community presence by consistently partnering with charities and other local businesses; for instance, the brand recently held an event entirely benefiting Best Buddies and Pelotonia.
Bellisari’s is excited to announce that they’re extending their line in the near future to give their customers more ways to enjoy gourmet convenience: https://bellisaris.com.
