The Fairfield Educational Building announces the opening of Fall Enrollment for all Daycare Programs for the 2021-2022 school year! The school is open for all Daycare and Child Development Programs from the hours 6:00 AM-6:45 PM, Monday through Friday. The school requires all Daycare children to be in attendance by 8:45 AM. All children school-wide are served breakfast starting at 7:30 AM, a healthy AM snack, a prepared in-school lunch, and a healthy PM snack.
Since 1975, the Fairfield Educational Building has provided high quality education at their Fairfield, Ohio location. In 1987, the Ohio Department of Education chartered the school’s Kindergarten Program and licensed their Infant and Preschool Programs. The school has cared for and educated thousands of children from the age of 6 weeks through age 12 years in a 7,500 sq. foot facility, a 25,000 sq. foot playground with age appropriate, developmentally designed playscapes, and outdoor learning centers.
Daily, the children in their Child Care Programs actively participate in play and self-chosen activities by: Maintaining the Children’s Garden; experiencing creating and observing musical, science and dramatic play events; experiencing the joy of learning in the outdoor classrooms for Science, Math, Art, Music, Language, and Dramatic Play; digging, discovering and constructing in our Sand and Gravel Areas; feeling the excitement of being surrounded by beauty and nature while delighting joy and thriving on the conversations, love and laughter of their a Good Buddy playmates.
The most obvious signs of the center’s high quality are our parent’s satisfaction and our ability to maintain our professional staff on a long- term basis. The school’s current staff has accumulated decades of early childhood teaching experience all at the Fairfield Educational Building.
The school allows mothers with children to be on the job while involving her children in the school program, while also being the first to engage parents with the education of their children. This is significant as new research has shown that at all levels of very young children, the relationship between home and school is powerful in predicting the future school success of children.
We credit this family centered atmosphere for the success of the school’s Prevent, Teach, and Reinforce approach to a child’s challenging behaviors. Staff observes and documents a child’s activity, and an emergent curriculum evolves which is child-initiated, child-directed and teacher-supported with developmentally appropriate activities and materials leading to an integrated development of the child’s mental, physical, social and emotional being. This unique planning for each child is life changing.
