Pops & Poosh is a family owned joint renowned for serving authentic Haitian-Caribbean dishes for years. Per the statements of the Gervais brothers, theirs is truly a family business with every one of their family members holding a position. While Parnell heads the management and marketing/promotions department, Wagner takes care of inventory and overall management. And behind all those sumptuous Haitian delicacies, there are Mama and Papa Gervais (Jessie and Edvard Byron) who prepare, season and cook every delicious dish that comes out of Pops & Poosh.
The Caribbean kitchen initially started with private catering gigs and has catered at weddings, baptisms, communions, birthday parties, graduations, and even corporate events.
“Over the years, our family has been blessed to savor the magical Haitian dishes whipped up by our parents, Jessie and Edvard Byron, and now we wish to share the same incredible experience with the whole of Baldwin. It has been a long-awaited dream for us to launch our own restaurant and it feels extremely special to share the great news with you all. Our doors are open from Tuesday and Sunday and we are looking forward to hosting you over.”
