Rosemead, California – July 09, 2021 – Leading San Gabriel Valley children’s charity Maryvale is pleased to announce their Summer Day Camp for kids this month. The Summer Day Camp is packed with a host of fun activities and outdoor adventures for kids during their summer break. The Camp is scheduled to run all summer long.
The summer camp is being hosted at Rosemead.
“We are glad to announce that we are organizing an exciting Summer Day Camp for the kids to ensure they can make the most of their summer break. With the little ones taking a break from their classroom activities, it’s an ideal time for the parents to engage the kids in alternate routines to help them build a supportive experience that would eventually prepare them for continued academic success in future. Our Summer Day Camp is strategically designed with an array of engaging activities for children that will help them to hone up their interpersonal skills, experience physical form of play, soak up some Vitamin D, make new friends and get back to school with tons of great memories”, stated a spokesperson from Maryvale.
Per the statements of the spokesperson, summer is a crucial time for children as the season can represent a disruption of regular routine in a child’s life and also unsettle their sense of safety and progress. Research has shown, children are more likely to act out in the summer months compared to their school year and child mental health is largely impacted during this season. If not checked on time, issues might escalate in August and September when they go back to school.
“A break in children’s learning, such as summer break, might lead to damaging behaviors and activities. The major reason behind it is that during the break, young ones are not guided by a structured environment, and they also miss out on healthy socializing as well as positive modeling by adult caregivers. Our Summer Day Camp aims to address all these issues by providing little ones with a credible daily structure, amazing socializing opportunities and routine supervision by adult care-givers even when the kids are at classroom break.”
The Summer Day Camp comes with a bunch of great activities, designed to create a fun, active, educational, and supportive summer break for kids. One of the major activities is weekly swimming sessions to keep the children active and cool in the hot summer months. The weekly waterplays will be conducted at Maryvale’s Rosemead Center, under close supervision of many adults.
The Summer Camp is also scheduled to take the kids out on field trips to various edutainment centers, such as KidSpace Museum, Griffith Park Observatory, Pirate Park and more. There will be hiking tours as well to expose the kids to the scenic natural beauty around and the life of the local community.
“Through our program, we blend a learning mindset with approachable, fun activities. We work to help children maintain their sense of curiosity and try on learning formats that complement what they do in the classroom the rest of the year. In addition to entertaining activities at our facilities, we bring children out into the world to learn more about the local community and explore our surroundings’ natural beauty. Our field trips take young people to the KidSpace Museum in Pasadena, Griffith Park Observatory, Pirate Park, and hiking trips in the Children’s Forest. Maryvale’s Summer Day Camp functions as an extension of our before-and-after-school programs. Our staff makes each day a fun, exploratory experience while promoting positive social development, physical and mental health, and a spirit of inquiry that keeps children mentally acute.”
