London, England – July 20th, 2021 – Auras Studios announces the launch of innovative Augmented Reality technology developed for Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation to shine a light on her nonprofit foundation while showcasing her music. At Auras Studios, the goal is to create augmented reality experiences that music fans love and appreciate. Augmented Reality experiences engage fans with unique connections to their favorite artists in the digital world. The creative technology experts at Auras Studios work directly with record labels and musicians to create innovative connections through AR marketing campaigns.
For Lambert, the goal was to create an Augmented Reality experience for Instagram to bring Lambert’s MuttNation message to her 4M followers. MuttNation Foundation was founded in 2009 by Miranda and her mom, Bev Lambert, with a mission to advance the adoption of shelter pets, promote spay and neuter and to educate the public about the benefits of these actions. MuttNation also provides support to shelters during times of emergency and natural disaster.
Augmented Reality offers the ability to overlay a digital experience on physical spaces through the use of fans’ smartphone cameras. The Auras Studios final product showcases a virtual Rottweiler and Pit Bull sitting in front of a 3D modeled dog shelter. Users are encouraged to tap the screen to virtually adopt one of the dogs and once they do, the shelter scene disappears revealing the dog happily living in the user’s home. The experience will be available through Miranda’s Instagram page.
Asked how this will benefit Miranda’s fans and MuttNation, Miranda said “MuttNation’s “Love Harder” campaign is focusing on harder to get adopted dogs and this filter provides a fun, user-friendly opportunity to pair my music with playful images of some of the breeds that are among the hardest to get adopted. Hopefully, this will encourage people to give a close and more compassionate look at all the harder to adopt dogs in shelters everywhere.”
CEO and Co-Founder of Auras Studios, James Shannon, explains how the creation of the Augmented Reality project developed with Lambert, “We began with a briefing to learn about Miranda’s overall campaign goals and then explained how AR could meet their needs. Next, we created mockups and developed a timeline for the project completion. We then presented the prototype for Miranda for feedback. With that feedback in hand, our team delivered the final MuttNation AR experience for Instagram.”
