September 7, 2021 – Video game content creator and Twitch streamer ‘Angelwalks’ has today announced the release of a tell-all documentary of his life. Featuring exclusive never before seen content, “The Story of Angelwalks” is the gamer’s most vulnerable project. Jose Angel Perez a.k.a. ‘Angelwalks’ shows a side of himself that was unseen to the world until now. The documentary was released on 29th August 2021.
After a TikTok video about his brother’s death during a live stream went viral in 2020, Jose was thrown unwantedly in the spotlight. Many were shocked and filled with sympathy after the video aired. The gaming community showered Jose and his family with kind words and condolences, but the story of his brother’s death remained untold, that is, until the documentary.
“I was in the middle of the gauntlet when my family came to my door panicking, yelling that my brother was cold and not moving,” Angel said following the death of his brother. “I’ve already lost so much. I don’t know how to move forward.”
“The Story of Angelwalks” documentary focuses on the entire life of Angelwalks, including some unseen details about the viral TikTok. It features behind-the-scenes insight into the life of gaming, content creating on YouTube/streaming on twitch, where Jose dives into the topics such as mental health.
Jose ‘Angelwalks’ remains grateful for this opportunity and platform to share his story. He felt that it would be best to put everything out there and let people make their conclusions. The documentary holds many potentially incriminating facts on purpose, as Jose knew that it would be inherently biased. While he tried to keep the video as short as possible, it was important to document every milestone. For Jose, this is more than a compilation of videos; he wrote, directed, and edited everything.
“I was nervous about sharing as much as I did but knowing the potential that my story has to make an impact on someone else was worth it. I wanted this to be more than a compilation of videos I’ve made over the course of nine years. I wrote, directed, and edited everything”, says Jose Perez. “Revisiting some of the topics I’ve avoided my entire life was incredibly difficult to do. My hope is that someone, somewhere, will see this and realize that no matter how hard life gets, it’s never over until it’s over”.
Jose Angel ‘Angelwalks’ Perez began creating content in 2012, at age fifteen, and he is now 24. An Army veteran, Jose is a daily streamer on twitch.
