Vince Morales is the founder of Validus Coaching & Consulting, based in San Diego, CA. Morales recently announced the rebranding of his company, previously known as Zoe Transformation Coaching & Consulting.
Morales leverages his knowledge and expertise in mindset & resilience coaching and consulting in leadership development. Morales is a certified John Maxwell Team coach, trainer, and speaker, a Maxwell DISC facilitator, and motivational speaker. In May 2021, he earned his master’s degree in Psychology of Leadership from Penn State University and is a doctoral student pursuing a Ph.D. in performance psychology.
From April 2016 to June 2017, Morales was a homeless veteran in San Diego, CA, where he and his wife, Michelle, lived in their van. The first five months were a battle as Morales struggled with emotional pain, shame, embarrassment, and thoughts of suicide. While reading John C. Maxwell’s Thinking for A Change, Morales was inspired by a quote in the book. Maxwell wrote, “One of the reasons people don’t achieve their dreams is that they desire to change their results without changing their thinking.” Maxwell’s feelings vs. thinking syllogism strongly impacted Morales. After developing a homeless survival mentality, Maxwell’s quote empowered Morales to dramatically change his thinking. On August 18, 2016, Morales made a life-changing decision about his own identity. He deconstructed, redefined, and reconstructed himself with a new mindset. Morales reframed his daily homeless experience to the point that he and his wife learned to thrive during homelessness rather than holding to the homeless status quo of “striving for surviving.” They grew in their resilience. While still homeless, Morales and his wife chose to be impact-makers who would inspire others every day.
Through his brand of coaching and consulting today, Morales offers one-on-one mindset coaching and consulting using strategies that he calls the “Iceberg Model.” Morales’ coaching and consulting process includes finding root causes that prohibit transformative thinking, identify solutions that address self-sabotaging limiting beliefs and mental models. This process provides measurable and sustainable results that position his clients for personal transformation. Each client receives an in-depth consultation that allows Morales to fully understand the specific needs of his client.
By identifying mental models and root causes that create barriers to entry for transformative thinking, Morales’ clients are positioned to experience personal transformation. More information can be found at the Validus Coaching & Consulting website.
