Reno-based businesses Krch Realty, Hughes Private Capital, and Move Home Nevada raised $2,475 for nonprofit organizations in August 2021 through their weekly community event Battle Born Cornhole. The businesses raised $425 for the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, $825 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Northern Nevada, $400 for the VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System, and $800 for the First Responders Children’s Foundation. These donations bring the total amount from this fundraiser to $8,250 to date.
The businesses, in partnership with Battle Born Cornhole, host the weekly event every Thursday at Bundox Bocce located in the Renaissance Reno Hotel & Spa. Krch Realty would like to invite the entire Reno community to join them in person or watch their livestream on Battle Born Cornhole’s Facebook page. The weekly event allows for cornhole players of all skill levels to play in a full-fledged bracket.
“We are happy to sponsor this weekly event that the whole community can be a part of. We really see it as a fun way to meet our neighbors and network while supporting some very deserving organizations,” said Kyle Krch, owner of Krch Realty and member of Battle Born Cornhole.
The Reno-based cornhole league, Battle Born Cornhole, was founded by a group of veterans and aims to promote the game of cornhole through competitive tournaments and events to benefit local charities, local businesses, and sponsors.
The weekly event takes place every Thursday at 6 p.m. at Bundox Bocce at 1 S, Lake St.
