Dubai – October 5, 2021 – With the Expo 2020’s unique and significant role to keep pace with the latest international breakthroughs in various aspects, The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is eager to capitalize on the opportunities paved by the most-anticipated global event of this decade. Thus, The Kingdom is committed into establishing a pavilion that would reflect and celebrate the kingdom’s emergence in the technical, economic & tourism aspects. In doing so, cultural tributes & performances will be prepared by Jordan’s participating committee.
Abdul Fattah Al Kayed, Commissioner General of the Jordanian Pavilion in Expo 2020, stressed the importance of his country’s participation in this international gathering and was quoted “Jordan’s participation is an opportunity to promote the Kingdom in a number of areas, as well as to invest in building partnerships and cooperation with other nations participating in Expo 2020.”
Al Kayed added that Jordan will also participate in several events organized by Expo 2020, such as the Urban and Rural Development Week, Women’s Day, Tolerance Week, World Children’s Day, Education Week and Tourism, and will organize a series of cultural events throughout the exhibition days.
Al Kayed pointed out that the council of ministers acknowledged the support of the Jordanian wing to ensure the success of Jordanian participation and achieve its objectives. Adding that the wing will organize a day to honor and pay homage to the kingdom’s capital, Amman, for the extent of its development in addition to celebrating the Jordanian National Day.
Al Kayed noted that the Jordanian pavilion will showcase its hologram technology to highlight the achievements and accomplishments by several Jordanian institutions, stressing that all offers in the pavilion were contributed by these notable Jordanian organisations and institutions.
Nader Al Suhaim, Deputy Commissioner General of the Jordanian Pavilion and Economic Advisor at the Kingdom’s Embassy in the United Arab Emirates proudly announces that the Jordan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will be entitled “Thresholds of the Future” spanning an area of 817 square meters within the mobility area.
The structure of the pavilion reflects Jordan’s role in various forums by underlining Jordan’s comprehensive development and progress in several areas, and by presenting the pioneering ideas, plans and future programs that Jordan seeks to achieve and offer to attract investors from around the world.
On the importance of holding Expo in the UAE, Nader Al Suhaim said that Expo 2020 Dubai is the first major international event to be held in the Middle East and North Africa region, and the largest in the world since the Coronavirus pandemic.
This includes exhibitions, forums, and exchange of innovative ideas. As visitors are expected to reach millions in the coming days, this global event will assume an avenue to harness the full potential and emphasize the compelling benefits this brings to the UAE and all participating countries.
