Starting in a back shed in Australia, Life Lessons Global has created a series of revolutionary children’s programs which are changing the lives of kids across the globe. Founder, Joelene Lavrick, was a teacher for 20 years suffering herself with anxiety and poor emotional health when she developed her life-changing course to help children. Whilst the program began with small after school workshops in 2017, once COVID hit, the entire course was forced to go online.
Director, Matthew O’Sullivan launched the Mind Ninja program online with a tiny $5 advertisement on facebook. This spiralled and led to the explosion in reach with the Mind Ninja online course being utilised in 114 countries in the 12 months to follow. The courses are designed to create a mindset shift and have helped both neurotypical and neurodivergent children with issues ranging from minor anxieties involving school attendance through to transforming the lives of children experiencing suicidal thoughts.
Life Lessons Global reached the Semi-Finals in the Curtin University, School of Education, Teaching Excellence Awards presented by Awards Australia in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Partnering with Dr. Gemma Foxall has seen Life Lessons Global expand the program to cater specifically for children on the Autism Spectrum.
