“Mira Masukawa”
Psychologists and psychotherapists positively impact our lives, shape the way we think, and act as experienced guides as we journey into uncharted territories. They provide invaluable insights into the world of healing, innovative developments for growth, and paths toward empowerment.

Today, we are highlighting the works and accomplishments of a California-based therapist, Mira Masukawa, and how she’s helping and changing the lives of Americans with her special psychotherapy services. For those who don’t know her, Mira Masukawa is half Mexican-American and half Asian-Indian who understands cultural differences and how they present themselves in the healing process of people undergoing therapy.

She honors and respects her clients’ personal beliefs and rituals using a client-centered, non-judgmental approach. Previously, she worked as a bereavement counselor and sat bedside with patients, and then continued counseling those grieving families.

Why This Is Important

It is important because there are so many people looking for therapy and they do not know where to start. Mira Masukawa can provide them with care, or have one of her knowledgeable therapists from her group practice, help provide therapy as well to people in need of it.

How Mira Can Help You?

Are you having anxiety or worry? Are you a chronic worrier? Are you feeling stuck? Has something left you feeling like there is a hole inside you? You are not who you were before the loss, and you don’t know what you want?

Mira gets it! She has heard from many clients who are grieving the loss of a job, a divorce, or the loss of a loved one, that they don’t know who they are anymore. They have trouble concentrating and have a foggy feeling.

Mira Masukawa is an experienced grief therapist and can help with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, family conflicts, and loss. She’s also a multi-cultural therapist and can understand the difficulties and sensitivities of other cultures.

She uses a client-centered, non-judgmental approach. The tools that she provides are not only from her career experience but also from her life experiences. The first book Mira wrote as a bereavement counselor was, The Tool Box. She believes everyone should have their own tools to help them in tough times. When we interviewed Mira about how she impacts her clients, in her words she said, “I am here to assist you to identify and create your own toolbox!”

Mira Also Offers Online Therapy!

Online therapy is therapy done remotely through a video conferencing platform, or over the phone. It has sparked in popularity ever since the COVID-19 pandemic forced therapists to expand their offerings in order to keep everyone safe.

If you’re worried about the quality of your session, research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as therapy done in person. Many people prefer online therapy because it offers more privacy, can be more accessible, and is more comfortable in one’s own space. With online therapy, Mira will give you the best of both worlds!
