Freedive Academy is offering Freediving Zero to Hero programs which is the ultimate break from normal life for those who want to explore the underwater world in a single breath. Although international travel to the Philippines still isn’t possible, because of domestic travel the Academy has started organizing freediving courses and freediving zero to hero in Panglao again.
Located on the Northside of Panglao Island, Freedive Academy is central on the island between the busy and crazy tourist area Alona and Tagbilaran City. This makes it a perfect spot to explore while learning and having fun.
The beginner to freediving instructor courses lasts at least 3 months while it can be extended to 6 months with extra free training. In these 3 extra months of free training, clients can also complete all the course requirements.
Freedive Academy offers the freediving courses of the three leading freediving certification agencies; SSI, AIDA, and Molchanovs. The agencies SSI and AIDA are the most renowned, acknowledged, and oldest international training agencies for recreational freediving or breath-hold diving. Molchanovs is relatively new and focuses more on pure freediving, training, skills and technique, and performance freediving.
Before the end of the program, clients will become pro freedivers and would also be able to teach the art of breath-hold diving to others. Beginner divers have access to about -50 meter depth while the more experienced divers will have a -80 and -130 meter buoy at swimming distance.
“In a single breath, you enter the mystical world of underwater. Blue. Fluid. Weightless. Colourful. And vibrant. Then you start becoming aware of yourself; of who you are,” says Edwin who is an experienced instructor at Freediving.
