Mark Matthews Law Represents Veterans And Their Families At The U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims
The 12-year veteran and former adjunct professor of law at the College of William & Mary School of Law uses his wealth of experience to provide top-quality legal representation for veterans and their families who have been denied and would like to appeal.

January 24th, 2022 – Mark Matthews Law has announced that veterans and their families who have been denied and would like to appeal the decision can trust in the firm’s experience and expertise in providing quality legal representation at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Mark Matthews is a skilled advocate at representing Pro Se Appellants at the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

According to the law firm, filing an appeal at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims can be complex, frustrating, and intimidating. The very act of filing appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims directly challenges decisions issued by the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA).

Thankfully, such decisions are subject to appeal at a federal appellate court of judges chosen by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate, which gives the aggrieved party another chance at securing a decision which they believe is just.

While the reasons which might warrant an appeal are many, ranging from the Board of Veterans Appeals’ failure to adequately consider evidence favorable to the claim to its reliance on inadequate or erroneous VA examinations and medical opinions, finding the right legal representation to help at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims can determine whether the appellant will be successful or not.

Mark Matthews is a veteran of 12 years in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer in the Field Artillery and U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. This seasoned litigator attended law school on active duty under the Funded Legal Education Program and served in the U.S. Army JAG Corps at Fort Polk, Louisiana as a legal assistance attorney, trial counsel, and Joint Readiness Training Center observer/controller, and at Fort Eustis, Virginia as Senior Defense Counsel and Deputy Staff Judge Advocate.

Mark Matthews has been an adjunct professor of law at the College of William & Mary School of Law for several years, teaching courses on veterans benefits in the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic (of which he was a co-founder), as well as teaching courses on trial advocacy, electronic discovery, and internet law.  He is currently an adjunct professor of law at Stetson University College of Law’s Veterans Law Institute, where he teaches a course on representing appellants at the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

In addition to directly representing veterans and their families, Mark has also revealed that he is available to serve as co-counsel to attorneys who require additional assistance with appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
