MODEX 2022 to Feature Picavi Pick-by-Vision with Artificial Intelligence Driving Better Warehouse Performance

Pick-by-Vision specialists from Picavi will focus on the warehouse employee during MODEX 2022 at Booth #C7877. In addition to new functionalities in the Picavi ecosystem, the core topic at the MHI event will be the development of intelligent analytics using neural networks for real-time optimization in the warehouse. Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center will be hosting MODEX from March 28-31, 2022.

The Picavi AI solution is based on real-time data acquisition using smart glasses and the use of this data to optimize warehouse processes and employee workplace ergonomics. Picavi performs the evaluation with neural networks and thus plans to use its system to independently identify optimization potential and propose concrete measures for improvement. The focus is on recording movement patterns and optimizing them for better ergonomics in the warehouse. Recurring movements, such as frequent bending, can be identified and measures for health-promoting optimization can be taken.

The fact that people continue to be a decisive success factor in many logistics activities is underlined by Picavi with several new features in its ecosystem. Logistics experts will present the Picavi Alerts function at MODEX, which enables significant time savings in communication with the control center. The control center is automatically notified when a predefined process is triggered in the warehouse.

Processes, such as shortage correction will be contactless, in real-time, and available remotely. The new feature is part of the Picavi Cockpit. At MODEX, Picavi will demonstrate practical examples showing how the business intelligence solution, with its integrated mobile device management and smart data function analytics, helps logistics companies to sustainably increase performance metrics.

Current vs. Future State of Warehouse Picking

Whether warehouse or distribution center, the current state of picking remains problematic. These challenges grow more serious as picking migrates to e-retail fulfillment. The metrics and justification of Google Glasses, as a picking methodology, must include a constant, iterative, and continuous process improvement system. This requirement defines the future state of warehouse picking; only Picavi is ready to meet the future state today.

About Picavi USA

Picavi USA Pick-by-Vision solution makes it possible to visually manage the picking process for goods in intralogistics in a consistent manner. Picavi’s Cockpit uses artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and digital twin technology as a breakthrough innovation, maximizing productivity at warehouses and minimizing error rates. Only with this Smart Data technology are e-fulfillment solutions possible, transcending the initial value proposition of Google Glasses.

When wearing the smart glasses, warehouse workers have both hands free for primary tasks, including picking and packing goods. Augmented reality (AR) with context-based information makes work much more precise, predictable, and fun. Google Glasses have become an indispensable part of warehouse life.

Picavi USA, based in Illinois, is a subsidiary of Picavi, headquartered in Germany. Demonstrations of Picavi’s technology will be on display at MODEX 2022 in Atlanta, GA March 28-31 located at Booth #C7877. Call (312) 585-8312 to learn more about Picavi USA Pick-by-Vision.
